Line Hjartarson has spent 15+ years in tech, starting as an interaction designer and developer and growing into principal and director-level design roles at some of Norway's more technically ambitious companies. At Cognite she was principal designer on Cognite Data Fusion, working on flexible data models and the no-code tools that let domain experts in heavy industry build for themselves. At Omny she was Director of Design for industrial security products, built a design team from scratch, and validated early AI concepts alongside data scientists. Earlier, at EGGS Design, she delivered projects in Qatar, New Zealand, and Austria from Stavanger.
She now runs Aline, her own design and technology studio, helping teams decide what to build before they waste time building it. She builds with AI every day and teaches other people to do the same, through monthly workshops and as a mentor for RunwayFBU and Vekstpartner. She won Lovable's She Builds Buildathon, is a Lovable ambassador, and chairs the board at SmplCo.
Her focus now is context: why generic AI output is not neutral output, and what changes when a machine has a real picture of who you are and what you know.
