Time is a construct we have put upon nature, including our own. Since the industrial era, we have forced ourselves into timetables in the name of productivity and profit. We have built our societal rhythm on the clock, and meanwhile forgotten that humans evolved for millennia with nature: the sun, the seasons, and the cycles and movements of our planet. And we have forgotten to ask what it costs our resilience, our energy and our best thinking when we run on clock-time, chasing the next meeting instead of following our deeper rhythms.
